IS SOCIAL MEDIA HURTING YOUR HEALTH & HAPPINESS?

These days I see far too many of you ladies struggling with your health and fitness goals, and body image due to what you are seeing online. Through the messages and emails I have been receiving, and talking to you girls, I am again realising how much of an impact this is having on your happiness!.

I CANNOT STRESS TO YOU ENOUGH... IT IS YOUR CHOICE WHO YOU FOLLOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND WHAT YOU LOOK AT ONLINE.

Now as incredible as the World Wide Web is, it does have disadvantages. You allow yourself to open the flood gates of so many people, influences, opinions and society to enter your world.

The best advice I have for anyone who is feeling overwhelmed and consumed by social media, is to start culling, today! You have to stop following, subscribing, or looking at anything that negatively effects your mindset or makes you feel worse about yourself. You have to realise that you have the choice and power in what you allow into your world, so YOU need to take control for your own well-being. That is the beautiful thing about the online environment...YOU can change it with a simple deactivate, unfollow, unsubscribe, or cease looking at profiles or websites.

Now I truly don't believe most people or personalities, ‘fitspos’, celebrities, companies, businesses etc. intend to make women feel worse about themselves or make them feel pressured. That being said, if that is how you are feeling you need to disengage with that page, profile, business or person. Honestly, even if that means me.


My intention is only to help women feel better about themselves, strive for balance, improve their health and fitness, promote the truth about the fitness industry, and be honest about how to find true happiness in your life. BUT! If there are posts/photos or anything on my online presence that makes you feel bad or pressured about how you look then you need to remove me as well. 

Ladies, as much as we reach out for help and need some support, we ourselves also need to take responsibility and take action to help and protect ourselves, and our well-being.

Be kinder to yourselves and ensure you take the steps to distance yourself from anything that doesn't serve you well.
